The Pantry System organizes a pantry by how you cook, not by what things are. A pantry sorted by category looks tidy for a week. A pantry sorted by use stays tidy, because everything goes back to where you were already standing.
It uses six zones: Daily reach, Cooking staples, Baking, Breakfast, Snacks and Backstock. Each zone has a set place, from beside the stove to the top or bottom shelf.
On US Letter, jar labels are 2⅝ × 1 in (Avery 5160) and shelf labels 4 × 2 in (Avery 5163). On A4 they are 63.5 × 38.1 mm (L7160) and 99.1 × 38.1 mm (L7163). Lid labels are 2 in round, cut by hand. Print one test page on plain paper first and hold it over a sheet to check alignment.
Use the blank labels. You type the name into the PDF, then print: on US Letter there are 30 jar-sized and 10 shelf-sized, on A4 21 and 14.
Not necessarily. One of the five rules is to decant only what you use weekly. Everything else stays in its packet, in a labelled bin.
