The Room Reset is a printable cleaning checklist for six rooms: entry, living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and workspace. Each room has two versions. The quick list takes 10 to 15 minutes, for the nights you have little left. The full reset takes 30 to 60 minutes, for once a week or before guests.

Every list follows the same six phases, in the same order: Out, Surfaces, Baskets, Trash, Floors, Reset. Carry out what doesn’t belong before you wipe. Take the trash out before the floor. Floors go last. Each step sets up the next one, so no step undoes the last.

What’s inside
  • A whole-home overview: the six quick lists come to 70 minutes in total
  • Six room pages, each with a quick list and a full reset
  • A nine-item kit list
  • A weekly rhythm
  • A four-week tracker
Good to know
  • 11 pages, in US Letter and A4
  • Tick it in any PDF app, or print it. If you print, choose 100% (actual size), not “fit to page”
  • Personal-use licence: for your own home, not for resale or sharing
  • Instant download. This is a digital file; nothing is shipped
  • The Room Reset is free and will stay free
Do I have to print it?

No. Open it in any PDF app and tick the boxes on screen. If you prefer paper, print the room pages and tape each one inside a cupboard door in that room, or slip them into sheet protectors and tick with a dry-wipe pen.

Do I need to do the whole home at once?

No. Each room stands on its own. The quick lists add up to 70 minutes across all six rooms, so one room a night works as well as a whole-home session.

Why is the order fixed?

Because cleaning out of order is what makes it feel endless. If you wipe a counter before clearing it, you wipe around things. If you mop before the trash goes out, you mop twice.
